The seed – 1969
Thank you, grandpa
It all starts in a small neighborhood oven, where, after learning from his grandfather the secrets to making the best artisan rosquilletas, Enrique Velarte founded Productes Velarte and our story begins.
Growth – 1999
The perfect place to grow
We are in a key year for the company, which begins with the move to the new Catarroja factory. This allows us to increase our production capacity and introduce improvements in our processes and helps us renew our desire to do things well and continue to grow.


Consolidation – From 2000
Achieving our dream
We start the new millennium by updating our logo and carrying out a technological revolution that will allow us to transform all processes. From here, we consolidate and begin to see how changes, new launches, and successes follow one another.

We upgraded our systems, achieving improvements in productivity.

The product’s quality must be conveyed from the packaging itself.

In 2004, the facilities were expanded, reaching 6,000 m².

That year we received ISO 9001/2000 certification, coinciding with the launch of what would become one of our most iconic products: Velarte Artesanas.

We doubled production capacity by launching a new production line.

These years mark the consolidation of Velarte's exports to countries such as Germany, France, Italy, and Portugal. We obtained IFS and BRC certifications as proof of food safety.

In 2008 we obtained the IFS and BRC Certificates, an international recognition that endorses our food safety systems.

We gave a name to this value and personified it with the mascot "Farinetti" — a sack of flour representing the main ingredient in our products.

In the agri-food sector, granted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of the Valencian Community.

Awarded for the best product in the baked snack category.

Our most Premium line hits the market, created for the most refined palates. A family of styles and flavors made with natural ingredients. Dry-fried chips: sea salt, pepper, potato, veggie, and corn.

The Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness granted us the Innovative SME Seal, valid until December 11, 2018.

Snackium was named Product of the Year. The only national award recognizing innovation in products launched on the Spanish market, chosen by 10,000 consumers.

Velarte's most natural product range emerges. Mini spelt sticks with sunflower seeds. The product followed the guidelines set by the NAOS strategy and was developed to be 100% organic.

We obtained Halal certification, allowing the company to openly market our products.

We embarked on the project of launching an online store to strengthen and enhance closeness with consumers and make it easier to purchase our products online — with no intermediaries for the brand.

We were awarded the 2020 Accésit Prize for Training and Employment in the 2020 SME of the Year competition.

Since 1969, we’ve enhanced our brand, one that has gone beyond quality, crossing borders and reaching more than eight countries.

We received the Catarroja Emprén Award in the professional career category.

Consumers awarded the "Flavor of the Year 2022" seal to our Velarte Natur sticks: spelt & oregano, and buckwheat & poppy seeds.

Redesign of the packaging for our baked breadsticks, in line with our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Launch of a third production line, allowing us to increase our production capacity.

Our president, Amparo Navarro, received the Award for Socially Committed Company, granted by the Valencia Chamber of Commerce.
